When Lisa called us to book her engagement session we were so excited when she told us what she was looking for. Lisa & Lee both show horses and Lee is a blacksmith, so the Smithville Community Historical Society area she told us about sounded perfect for their session and it was! They brought Lisa’s horse, Moose, as well as their dog, Hooey. We loved that the horseshoes that they brought for a prop were actually Moose’s old shoes. We wanted to give a special thanks to Lisa’s sister, Rhonda for telling Lisa about us and also for helping out with Moose and holding our reflector for a few photos.
We were a little worried at first when Lisa told us that Lee didn’t like getting his photo taken, but Lee ended up having a lot of fun and smiled a lot, which we definitely appreciated.
These types of engagement sessions that are personal are always our favorite! It makes it so much more meaningful and unique when couple’s incorporate things or places that are imporant to them.
We’re bummed we’re booked for their wedding, but we are so happy we were able to take these photos for Lisa & Lee. We wish them the best!
