WPPI 2014

We learned so much at the photography seminar, WPPI, that took place in Las Vegas. We can’t wait to start implementing everything we learned into our business! We wanted to share a little bit of our experience with everyone.

One of the vendor booths at the trade show set up a photobooth, so we had some fun with that as you can see 😉

The trade show was a bit overwhelming, but there was so much great stuff to see. We felt like kids in a candy store! It was so nice to see tons of different album companies and to feel and see how the albums are in person. (Note Jessica feeling the album lol)
0004 There were tons of cool products offered. We loved this metal gallery display.0005

There were a lot of informative live demonstrations going on at the trade show that were teaching anything from lighting to posing.

There were models showing off a light called The Icelight. We just loved it so much that we bought one for ourselves and can’t wait to start using it for our photos! Here are a couple photos we took of the models showing how it looks. 0007 0008 0009

As soon as we got it in our hands we went outside and took a few tests of each other using it to see how it looks outdoors. It added a great deal of dimension and even lighting in open shade. It eliminates the need for reflectors and flashes for portrait sessions like seniors. 0010 0011

The next day we took it out on the strip after our anniversary session to try it at night. We can’t wait to photograph a senior or engagement session at dusk and put this thing to work! Not to mention how cool it will be for wedding end of the night shots. Here’s a photo I took of Jessica on the strip using The Icelight.

Here are just a few photos from the Vegas strip. It was so refreshing to get out of the Ohio weather for a few days.0012 0013 0014 0015 0016 0017 0018 0019 0020 0023 0024 0025 0026 0027 0028 0029 0030 0031

Since we were two months shy of our first wedding anniversary and since we got married in Vegas, we decided to book an anniversary session with a local photographer. If anyone is in Vegas and needs a photographer please contact Exceed Photography! http://exceedphotography.com/ Edyta was so great to work with and her customer service was right on point. All of the photos of us from this point on were taken by Edyta from Exceed Photography.0032 003300340035 0036 0037 0038

We had so much fun and can’t wait until we can go back next year. It really recharged us and got us so excited about our 2014 season. Bring on the weddings and seniors!
